The author argues about the perennial actuality of Pascal's distinction between the »geometric« and »refined« minds. He stresses, also the need of a thorough pascalian method of convenient thinking — starting from ourselves, then facing our Creator, and, thirdly, choosing a proper direction and goal of our life.
