The author deals first with the ascetical notion of the “world”, stressing the positive (non-dualistic) value of the joyous “Orthodox cosmism”. It is not enough to flee from the world, but to save the world.
Each human person, as a unique creature of God endowed with freedom and creativity, is to be respected in his / her dignity. The moral categories of sin and righteousness are practically inadequate to describe the situation of a living man.
